About Our Pahad Trust

PAHAD Trust (Professional Assistance for Hill Area Development) is a non-profit organization based in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, dedicated to empowering hill communities through sustainable agriculture and rural development. Since 2020, we've been working with over 2,000 farmers across Chamba and Kangra districts, promoting natural farming practices that are eco-friendly, climate-resilient, and rooted in local traditions. Through training, awareness programs, and our initiative PAHAD Organics, we help farmers improve productivity, connect to fair markets, and build self-reliant livelihoods. We also focus on women empowerment, youth engagement, and facilitating access to government schemes. Our vision is to create thriving hill communities where agriculture supports both people and the planet. By combining traditional knowledge with modern techniques, we are building a sustainable future—one farm at a time. Join us in growing a better tomorrow.

Our Services

We offer sustainable farming training, market linkages,
women empowerment programs, and organic product distribution across Himachal’s hill regions.

Sustainable and Natural Farming Training

PAHAD Trust educates farmers on organic farming, seed preservation, composting, and water conservation, helping increase income through sustainable, eco-friendly methods that protect the environment and local ecology.

Collaboration with Government Agriculture Departments

Working with government agriculture departments, PAHAD Trust promotes awareness of farming schemes, supports climate-resilient agriculture, and trains farmers to adopt innovative practices for long-term sustainability and rural development.

Marketing Support through PAHAD Organics

Through PAHAD Organics, the Trust helps local farmers sell organic products across India, ensuring better prices, direct market access, and promoting healthy, chemical-free produce from Himachal’s mountain regions.

Empowerment of Women Farmers

PAHAD Trust empowers rural women through training in organic farming, leadership, and community engagement, enabling them to become self-sufficient, confident, and key contributors to sustainable agriculture in their villages.

Traditional Seed Preservation and Indigenous Farming Promotion

The Trust revives traditional farming by preserving indigenous seeds, encouraging local techniques, and promoting biodiversity, helping mountain communities reconnect with heritage practices that are sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Our Mission

Pahad Trust is dedicated to preserving the natural beauty, culture, and sustainability of the Himalayan region. We empower local communities, support eco-friendly initiatives, and work towards a greener, more inclusive future for all.
We’re rooted in tradition but driven by innovation — connecting people with purpose and the planet with care.

Thanks to Pahad Trust, our school now teaches children about nature conservation through real experiences. They planted trees with us, cleaned our streams, and inspired the next generation to care for the mountains they call home.

Local Educator, Tandi Village

Volunteering with Pahad Trust changed my life. I helped build eco-friendly toilets, worked on reforestation projects, and lived with the warmest people in the hills. It’s not just a cause — it’s a movement with heart.

Pahad Trust helped us set up a small herbal business using local plants. They trained us, supported us, and most importantly — believed in us. We are more confident, independent, and united than ever before.
